Horseback riding lessons for vacation

Are you planning on going on a vacation and want to explore equestrian excursions, but have never been on a horse or it has been a number of years. After listening to our customers tell us about some wonderful rides that they had on vacation and also the ones that were less than ideal, we thought on trail lessons would be a perfect option for people. 

These lessons will all be one on one.  If you would like to do lessons with another person/persons, contact us.

During a one hour lesson you will learn the basics of,

Tacking up a horse- this will ensure that you can check the safety and security of the saddle you will be riding on. 

Mounting and dismounting a horse- unlike at most local trail ride barns, many ranches will require that you can get on and off your horse without a mounting block. 

Controlling your horse- the basics of directing your horse left and right, stopping and turning. 

Traversing hills- you will learn the proper body positioning to ensure the safety of you and your horse when going up or down steep hills.

Water features- getting your horse through different bodies of water. 

Trotting- when you are comfortable upon the horse walking, you will be given the opportunity to get acquainted with trotting on a horse.

Emergency stopping- getting control of your horse in an emergency situation, something has spooked a horse and you need to regain control of your horse.
